NEW HOMES

The new homes on Regis Road are part of a larger masterplan for Camden’s Film Quarter.

The housing element of the project is at an early stage, but we have a good idea of the headlines for we would like to provide here.

  • Around 400 new homes in Phase 1 of the development
  • A target of 50% affordable homes, with a range of tenures to be discussed with the Council

WHY HERE?

Housing is a significant priority in Camden’s Local Plan, focusing on addressing the borough’s need for affordable, high-quality homes to meet the needs of its residents.

Camden’s housing register currently has over 6,700 households in need of social housing. Through Camden’s Community Investment Programme (CIP), the Council plans to build 4,850 homes, with a focus on affordability and energy efficiency.

The Kentish Town Planning Framework (KTPF) highlights the importance of affordable housing for the local community, Council, and the Greater London Authority (GLA). In line with Camden’s Local Plan and the London Plan, the KTPF aims to meet the target of 50% affordable housing, potentially delivering approximately 1,000 new affordable homes in the area.

The Regis Road site will contribute to this goal by providing much needed new homes over 2 phases.

More details will be added to this website as our work progresses.
